I have seen a nonzero amount of social media posts that look like they were generated using large language models. I can’t tell for sure, but they tend to use (or misuse!) superfluous adjectives, lean heavily on particular sentence structures, and use a lot of words without ever really saying anything.

Then they ask me to join the discussion and contribute my valuable expertise, or whatever.

I generally have problems with the idea of authenticity, and how people fetishise authenticity. I also have some problems with fetishising human labour; I like labour-saving devices and technologies.

I will say that if someone cannot put the effort in to ask useful questions, or write readable text, I have no interest in engaging.
