So what do I like doing when I’m not learning physics or writing about physics?

I enjoy learning new languages – human languages like French and Hebrew, but also programming languages. I can do enough Python and C++ to make interesting things, but I’d like to learn some more.

I love singing – I mainly used to do choral singing and still go back to it, but these days I sing more Gilbert and Sullivan. This is mainly due to my association with MUGSS, a ragtag band of misfits and some of the finest people you’ll ever meet.

In 2017, I became their secretary and helped recruit a cast, crew and creative team for two shows. In December, we performed Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens which was great fun and we followed this up with a production of Iolanthe in March. It turned out really well and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I’ll be helping to put on a further two shows in 2018 and 2019.
